Depending on the technology available to both you and your client, you may choose one or a combination of communication methods to interact with your client.
We advise that you use video-conferencing, as many video-conferencing tools have a screen-share capability. You can ask your client to share their screen with you so that you can view both your client and their screen to follow their performance of cognitive exercises using HappyNeuron Pro in real-time.
See your client and their screen using your preferred videoconference tools
HappyNeuron Pro is used worldwide to provide individual but also group therapy, and this is also true for telepractice.
Using any video conferecing system, you can easily use HappyNeuron Pro in a group video discussion. Just share your screen to show all participants the exercise and guide them as you would do in a classroom. Engage all participants to give their answers, share their strategy and discuss these together while you manipulate the exercise and provide any additional hinting or guidance to keep the activity stimulating.
Animate group activities in any group call
We advise using HappyNeuron Pro during and outside of therapy sessions with you. With the home training features, your clients can access assigned workouts through their email, or by login to HappyNeuron Pro by themselves. Your clients will be able to access custom workouts and exercises that you have prepared for them, making sure they are doing exactly what they should.
You can then easily keep track of what was done to encourage clients, adapt the therapy and show progress engage to their fanilies.
Assign custom sessions to be completed from home, and track everything
This allows clients to practice cognitive skills, foster independence, and have access to therapeutic material that you provide. You can view your patient’s performance of their home exercises to gain further insight into which areas of cognition your clients are improving on and which areas need more attention.
Bridging is the process of connecting what is being practiced during therapeutic exercises to real-life situations. Bridging fosters generalization, which is the comprehension and application of cognitive strategies to similar yet different situations in a client’s life.
While you may not be working with your client in the same physical space, you can provide bridging activities for your client through reflective discussion of completed exercises, using different materials that simulate real-world experiences, and using media such as video, music, and other activities to promote translation of what cognitive skills have been practiced using HappyNeuron Pro.
To help you with this, we provide free worksheets that have a set of bridging questions that you can use with your client to foster the connection of practiced cognitive skills.
