Learn more about this exercise:

The pre-frontal cortex primarily controls executive functioning. The user needs to plan their actions, strategize their next move, and organize feedback information simultaneously. This exercise also mentally calculates the necessary moves while inhibiting incorrect ones. Spatial reasoning encompasses many connections throughout the brain, which also connect to the frontal lobe, which is involved in planning and problem-solving.

Basketball in NY requires the user to use their imagination, mentally plan, and manipulate the balls to solve the task. Individuals utilize these skills when attempting to plan a trip or figure out how to schedule a busy day.
