In this exercise, the user must combine fragments to complete a word. Each puzzle is based on a chosen category.

The left hemisphere of the brain is active during this exercise. The user must visually recognize fragments of words and connect them together. This task may help the user maintain or even enrich their language repertoire. Each syllable can be seen as a phonetic cue that facilitates word retrieval.

In this exercise, the user practices deriving meaning from details, using context clues, and exploring space to collect relevant information. This exercise carries over to everyday tasks, such as reading an article, searching a web page for relevant information, or referring to the ingredients list needed in a recipe. 

You can modify:

  • The number of syllables (2 or 3)
  • The number of words (4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, or 20)
  • The time of response (unlimited, 5, 4, 3, 2, or 1 minute)
  • Help options (separated syllables, colored syllables, or no help)
  • The theme choice (manual or random)
