In this exercise, the user must combine word fragments to complete a word. Each puzzle will be based upon a chosen category.
The left hemisphere of the brain is active during this exercise. The user must visually recognize fragments of words and connect them together. This task may help the user maintain or even enrich their language repertoire. Each syllable can be seen as a phonetic cue that facilitates word retrieval.
In this exercise, the user practices deriving meaning from details, using context clues, and exploring space to collect relevant information. This exercise carries over to everyday tasks, such as reading an article, searching a web page for relevant information, or referring to the ingredients list needed in a recipe.
