In this exercise, the user must place segments of colored squares onto a grid to match the presented figure. Every time the user places a segment, the grid will follow a set of rules (W+W = B, B + B = W).
Executive functions stem from the prefrontal cortex and are used to perform arithmetic calculations, reasoning, and planning. Visual-spatial functions are predominantly attributed to the right parietal lobe. There is abundant neurophysiological evidence that the prefrontal cortex plays an essential role in visual working memory.
By practicing the skills in Modulo, individuals may improve their ability to reason and problem-solve to achieve a goal. The user must choose the relevant information needed to solve the problem and recreate the figure, knowing that intermediate superimpositions can be confusing. Just like in real life, sometimes we must step back to step forward.
