HappyNeuron’s most popular exercise. Using the hint of a given theme, your client must plut together fragments of words to make a logical word pertaining to the given theme. This can be done with or without the use of organized or color coded assistance.
Words are made from combinations of morphemes. The retrieval and production of words occurs in the left hemisphere of the brain. When a person has a stroke affecting their left hemisphere, this person may not be able to recognize or produce words. This exercise challenges your client to construct logical words from word fragments. Your client must use deductive reasoning, working memory, and logical approach to trial and error to put together words.
